Sometimes policy change is about designing solutions and conceptualizing change. On paper. Sometimes you can make change in concrete ways: by pounding a hammer, sawing some wood and building a house!
SPPG Alumni get that both approaches of change are important. So, we have organized a Habitat for Humanity build.
Want to roll up your sleeves and give back to the community? Well, this is the perfect chance! We have organized a Habitat for Humanity Build.
Where: Victoria Park and Danforth (the site is 5 minutes from Victoria Park station)
When: Saturday, April 28th, 2012, from 8 am to 4 pm
Cost: $75 per person. Don’t let this stop you! The donation is tax deductible and a fundraising page will be created on the Habitat for Humanity website that can be shared with friends and family.
If you are looking to give back to the community, have fun, or blow off stress, this is a great way to come together and contribute to a family in need! If you are interested, please contact Dipal Damani at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, March 9, 2012 and more detailed information will be provided. Remember, at least 10 people are needed to do the build.
