We will be starting this new year, and ringing in Obama’s new presidential term, with The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era – a provocative look at big policy change in American politics.
President Obama’s 2012 re-election will be one for the history books. Yet Michael Grunwald argues that the US (and the world) is already living with a major Obama legacy with repercussions we’re only beginning to understand. The ambitious $800 billion stimulus bill, in Grunwald’s view, was the “down payment on the nation’s economic and environmental future.” On the other hand, it has indebted the U.S. like never before.
Join us Tuesday, February 12th at 6:30pm to discuss American politics, the fate of the US (and the world), the role for big public policies with major legacies, and predictions for the next 4 years. Location TBA.
To register for the event, RSVP here.
See you there!
